| 06/13/2007 - My Vacation From The Site |
|
I've been busy since I last posted on here. I've probably had more to do in the past month than any other time in my life. School has started up again, and I'm typically in class for 6 hours per weekday. I only have 11 hours to complete before I graduate in August. When I'm not in school I'm either working on my photography business, processing pictures, traveling, doing homework, or playing a little xbox. It's been a while since I posted my picture updates, so here are a few links to photos I've taken lately... Campus Pics Baseball Regional Championship Kyle Walks the Stage Kayla Walks the Stage |
| 06/18/2007 - My First Wedding |
It's been another busy week. This one was filled with preparations and actual shooting of my first wedding. I ended up shooting this one myself despite plans to use two shooters, but it all turned out ok in the end. The pictures are looking great so far, and it was a good experience. Here is the only picture that I have on the net so far. Notice how the little ring bearer is getting lessons for him and his future girlfriend.![]() |
| 06/25/2007 - Chris and Angela |
|
My summer is booked. Weekdays are taken up by class and photography work, and weekends are filled with wedding stuff. Last weekend I shot a wedding. This past weekend was the couples shower in Flower Mound for Chris and Angela. Jessica and I had a great time hanging out with the Flower Mound crew plus a few from College Station, but the highlight of my trip was the gift exchange. Jessica and I bought them the standard gift they had registered for, but how boring is that. I mean that is what the shower is technically for, but there's no excitement in a few plates or a margarita shaker (I think that is what we got them). I decided that we needed to get them something else. Jessica and I took one of our few trips to the mall to find the perfect gift. She had suggested matching underwear (the goofy kind), but we couldn't really find anything that would be their style. I almost bought a pair of elephant underwear for Chris (don't use your imagination)...but we decided on a "position a day" book to spice up their marriage. It made the gift giving fun and all, but the reactions in the pictures are pretty funny... ![]() ![]() Anyway, Congrats guys. Enjoy the gift. |
| 06/26/2007 - Maxim Magazine? |
![]() Well I got my stuff together, and went up to shoot a few. I got back, processed the pictures, and forwarded them to the guy that had asked for them. He said that he would pass them along. I didn't really think a whole lot of it until this morning when I get an email from a lady at Maxim magazine. She was asking for permission to use them in the September issue of their magazine. I was surprised because there's really nothing special about them, but who am I to complain? I sent her the larger version of the files and replies back saying that there's a "strong possibility" that one of my pictures is used. I really don't know what to expect when August 16th rolls around, but I will definitely be picking up my copy of Maxim Magazine to check it out. |
